Anyone who reads this blog will know i am a fan of reggae music. Here are some of my favourite words from the Rasta/Patois dictionary:
AGONY : the sensations felt during sex
BOOPS/BOOPSIE : Boops is a man, often older, who supports a young woman;
boopsie refers to a kept woman
BUMBO : bottom; backside. A common curse word, especially in combination with CLOT (cloth),
DARKERS : sunglasses
DEAD HOOD : (the H is silent) = A man that can't perform sexually. Impotent.
DOGHEART : a person who is especially cold and cruel
GENERAL : cool operator
GRINDSMAN : one who displays great prowess in bed
HEAD MAN JANCRO : n. albino buzzard (?)
JOOK : to pierce or stick, as with a thorn or a long pointed stick. (5) also used in a sexual context
KISS ME NECK! : common exclamation of surprise
LAMBSBREAD : a form of high-quality marijuana
MORE TIME : see you later
NYAM : to eat.
RUNNING BELLY : diarrhea
SEEN? : Do you understand?
SEEN : I understand, I agree
